ER is a complete chaos and disorder. Very disorganized. I waited three hours in pain and chills with a clogged cath. Not even my insurance or medical info was taken. I left to Shands and they helped me in less than an hour. Don't waste your time going to the ER.

Awesome

After being treated terribly at Orange Park Medical Center my wife drove me to BMC. I have suffering excruciating pain due to a kidney stone. I was taken in and tended to promptly and courteously. They staff got my pain under control within moments of my arrival. The team here saw to it that I was very well taken care of. I appreciate the effort after experiencing rotten treatment from Orange Park Medical Center.

My daughter had surgery at Bap...

My daughter had surgery at Baptist on 02/29/12 between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM when she was moved to Recovery. She remained in Recovery, along with about 20 other patients at various times, for over 8 hours (until 8:30 PM) waiting for a room for an overnight stay. While she received excellent medical care during this wait, this wait for a bed for 8 hours was and is unacceptable. Family members had to cram themselves into the small space in the curtained-off areas with barely enough room for a chair, if there was one available. This wait was allegedly the result of an administrative situation caused by a new computer system (really?!?) being initiated which caused these inordinate delays, although in talking to other persons in the waiting room this happens all the time. Surely, a hospital such as Baptist should be able to provide a system where a separate block of rooms could be made available for overnight stays leaving another block available for patients requiring longer terms of stay so that that patients in recovery should only have to wait a minimum amount of time before given a room. Other persons I have talked to have expressed dissatisfaction with this and other administrative problems at Baptist.

Drs. Pulmonary Medicine not Chronic Pain Drs.

They are Doctors of Pulmanary Medicine not The Pain Clinic. Check your spelling, if this was under the Pain Clinic may be could understand but for someone who doesn't no what a Pulmonary Doctor is: he is for the lungs & breathing including sleep studies for things like Sleep Apnea etc. They also can tell if you have asthma. I'm pretty sure he didn't know what Dr. he saw or got the spelling wrong!

Bad Doctor

I went to this hospital and I did not receive the treatment that I expected. I was not to able to receive the treatment I was expecting. I was not able to receive my very strong medicine for cronic pain and my bi-polar for 22 days. Instead I received a nasty doctor that informed me that he was only use to treating people for emergencies and that my situation did not qualify.

They only tested me by administering a pules reader, temperature reader and my blood pressure reader test. These test do not show what may be going on inside my body. In order to learn what is going on inside my body would require to do a x-ray and and M. R. I. and perhaps other test. Needless to say, they did not do these test and they sent me home.

I still do not know what damage may have been conducted to the inside my body. I waited for them to see me for three hours and they only examined me for about fifteen minutes. I have reported him to Dr. Keith Stine at 904-2020-2948. Dr. Keith Stine is suppose to be the over seer for all of their doctors.

I did report this rotten and unprofessional doctor. The doctor that I seen even was acting rude and u

unprofessional and he said that he was going to call my doctor immediately and he was very rude about it. My Doctor strongly suggested that I go to Baptist hospital and be fully checked out.

I went to the emergency room for the fastest services and to try to keep anything from going wrong with the inside my body. I had lost 18 pounds in 22 days and I was very weak and becoming weaker. This doctor showed that he has a nasty personality; a non caring attitude; god like attitude he is very unprofessional as well. I believe that the way that I was treated by him was and is because I am a gay man.

Just to inform eveeryone, i have five master degrees and one bachelor degree with many doctorates and graduated with honors. I have experienced this treatment through all of the Baptist facilities that I have attended. In addition, I informed all medical people that asked about my health situation that I have multiple health situations that derive from my families health pool. I have now been back on my medicines for one week.

I just went to the emergency room to insure that nothing has gone wrong with the inside of my body and I still do not have the answers. Remember if you encounter this type of treatment from a alleged doctor at Baptist hospital them contact Dr. Keith Stine at 904-202-2948, a Jacksonville, Fl number. As for me I reported this incident

as son a I arrived home from this Baptist hospital and I a awaiting a reply. I will be going to another hospital for a further follow update to make sure that I am fine.

Sincerely;
