I LOVE this place! A great treat and in the heart of the art district in KC.



I enjoy that they use local ingredients and even provide a "meet the farmer" menu and interview time!



My favorite place in KC for breakfast! Vegetarian Friendly

We are thrilled with this great little restaurant at 17th and Summit in KC, Mo.! Since the trend is to eat food produced within 100 miles of your home, the Blue Bird menu includes local produce (much of which is organic), vegetarian choices, bison, artisan bread from Fevere (next door) and killer desserts. I appreciate that food is prepared fresh and they have reused an old building with its high tin ceiling and a brick wall which adds to its charm. There is a bar so you can enjoy wine, cocktails or beer with your meal. We have taken out of town guests here and they all have been pleased with the food, ambiance and wait staff. We agree it's nice to find a treasure, not a chain and something unique. Reservations are advisable for Saturday, or Sunday brunch to avoid disappointment or a long wait.
