I had right knee replacement surgery at Oro Valley Hospital on February 25, 2014, and was discharged to return home on February 27.

Throughout my hospitalization, the nurses and other staff failed horribly in managing my pain. For two successive nights, after buzzing repeatedly in desperation for pain medication and waiting 90 minutes, I finally got a response. All complaints made by me and my wife were met with hostility and defensiveness.

I would never be hospitalized again at this hospital, under any circumstances. Their personnel are disorganized, unresponsive, and lacking in compassion.

I recently scheduled a delicate outpatient procedure with Dr. Victor Chen. He his staff were attentive, caring and went so far beyond my expectations. I felt truly cared for, comforted and safe in their hands. None of the other hospitals in Tucson even come close to how well they treated me in Oro Valley. If I or anyone in my family needed it this is where I would want to go.

My sister went to this hospita...

My sister went to this hospital to have a infected toe cut off, the surgeon ended up removing a quarter of her foot, after the surgery she was denied pain control and endured almost a entire day w/o any relief, this situation was changed when I visited my sister and witnessed her plight first hand, I was furious and let the "staff" know their indifferent uncaring and unprofessional lack of care would not be tolerated! This place is more a dungeon than a hospital and the staff seem to enjoy watching their patients suffer. Avoid this place if you can....

go somewhere else!

went in for appendicitis and after waiting 12 hours for surgery it ruptured causing a severe infection. Nursing staff didn't change IV tubing when they were suppose too or really care about my pain. In fact I was told by one hospital staff that I wasn't in severe pain because I was not in labor. This place is owned by a national for profit company named CHS which is only after your money. I got discharged and had to be readmitted because they didn't put me on the right antibiotics but I went to St. Joseph in Tucson and received excellent care.
