Be prepared to wait a long time, even if it is not busy. The crab cake is really good, but not worth the price. you only get 1 little one as an appetizer and it's like $6. The Bleu ribeye, was not good or cooked right. We waited forever for our drinks to be ordered, and waiting more just to get them. the mashed potatoes was good, and you get three stalks of asparagus then your meat. The prices are high, and in my opinion the food isn't worth it. It seems like Off the Square is trying to be a high class resturaunt in Albemarle, but at least have high class service and meals.

We went to Off The Square on Saturday night and had a wonderful meal. The stafff were all dressed up for Halloween. We had salmon, brisket and crab cakes. The food was wonderful. Just the right size portions. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely return anytime we are in the area.

We went to Off the Square last night and the food and service were awesome!!!! They had a surf and turf special which included a crab cake and filet, potatoes to die for and baby aspargus! It is a small place but it has a huge amount of charm. We go to Hendersonville NC a lot and this reminds us of several little restaurants there. We need more of these Stanly County and less of the "generic" dining.

i was NOT happy with my food! this place is a joke!!
