If you want to replace your rotors after a year, go here.

I had taken my car there to get new brakes about a year ago. Here's the deal though. This week the car began screeching terribly and having issues stopping. I didn't have the money this time around to take it back to have them do the brakes, so I did them myself. Here's what I found:The left tire (the one screeching) had the brake pads reversed. There's one that is meant to go on the side towards the car-- the one that signals with the chirp that the break pad is wearing. Well, it was on the wrong side. So this lead to that side of the rotor being totally grooved and the pad being nonexistent -- the metal was now being ground against. The rest of the pads were fine, they were barely worn at all. Just that one; it costed me a new rotor and brake pads. Thanks, Brake Masters. Don't expect business from me again.
