On Nov. 3 2021 Shakey's Pizza replied to my 5 Star review about the best location around with great customer service. That review was about the Culver City location. I eat at Shakey's 2 to 3 times a week. Different locations through out the week. Unfortunately today I had the sad pleasure of eating at the Anaheim store on Harbor Blvd just north of Disneyland. Last two times were both major Health Department violations. The last one I did not report to Anaheim Health Dept. This time I will be going to Anaheim Health on Monday signing a formal complaint. If I do not do this they will not fix it. When you enter the restaurant you walk 20 feet and turn left to come to the register. While waiting in line the employee running the cash register is taking plates from customers full of Chicken bones and left over Pizza and other food with his right hand half way over the top of the plate. His thumb is 2 1/2 inches in on top of the plate touching all the left over garbage left on the plate. His left hand was pushing Pizza doe not eaten with dirty napkins on top down on the plate so that it did not fall off the plate as he turned to walk back toward the kitchen and dump the food in the trash. Then he came back to the register where he was trying to check in the next guest and reaches down with the same right hand with his thumb on top of a clean plate and hands it to the customer that stopped him from finishing the check in process of the guest in front of me. Then he returns to the customer in front and takes their money as he had already rang them up before touching the plates. Now he reaches down and extends his dirty thumb over the couples plates in front of me and is ready to move more dirty plates before waiting on me. NO, he never washed his hands for the 15 minutes I was waiting in line. Everything from there got worse with me trying to talk to a manager that told me to forget about it and just sit down and eat. She did not have time to talk to me.
