Our Chico behavioral health facility has a psychiatrist, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, and a psychiatric health nurse practitioner available to help our patients. Together, we work under the direction of board-certified psychiatrists with a long history of service to patients in Northern California. Our psychiatrists assess patients, prescribe and manage medications, and provide individualized treatment as needed.

GREAT nurse practitioner!! He takes you seriously, thinks about the long term and the short term, explains things, listens, and really cares. He is a good guy and a good doc.

Leslie Julian is NOT an MD. He is a nurse practitioner making decisions as if he were a real doctor. Our son went to him with several years of social anxiety and depression in his history and had spent 3-4 years with therapists and psychiatrists in So. Cal before moving to Chico and seeking out a new doctor. He's on prescribed habit-forming drugs, sports a lip ring, and is irritating and difficult to communicate with. These are all symptoms of his disorders which we assume are typical of other patients in a psychiatrist's office. Mr. Julian called him an addict, called his former psychiatrist a bad doctors and refused to consult him, then told our son to get out and not come back. He escorted him out of the office in front of other patients and announced to all that our son was to never return. This is devastating to a patient with social anxiety. This nurse cut our son off from seeing a competent doctor.
