Founded in 1973, OACCA is a statewide association of child and family service providers that are united together to develop the best care possible for Ohio’s children and families. We aim to ensure that Ohio’s evolving public policies result in a system that is integrated, efficient, cost effective, and beneficial to those that matter most – children and families. We work closely with state government officials, including leaders at ODJFS, OMHAS, ODYS, the Governor’s office, General Assembly, as well as officials at the county and federal levels. In addition to advocacy, OACCA provides the professional education and training services to members and the public. We convene projects that are aimed to improve care for children, including the Outcomes Data Project and Learning Communities on Medicaid Health Home implementation and seclusion and restraint reduction. We hold over a dozen conferences and trainings each year on clinical, management, and public policy topics.
