I've had manicures and pedicures here and they were great. Unfortunately, I had eyelash extensions applied and got a horrible infection in both of my eyes and eyelids. I can't even begin to tell you how bad it was. I was diagnosed with bacterial conjunctivitis and blepharitis (presumed to be staph). I had to take oral antibiotics, apply a topical antibiotic ointment to my eyelids and use antibiotic drops in my eyes. I called the owner and told her that she had obviously not used sterile technique and she kept saying, "COME HERE LET ME SEE." As if I'm going to go back and let her diagnose and treat me? They're lucky I don't sue their ass off.

I must preface the review by saying I've had my nails done many times over the years by the average 'strip mall' nail salon; the walk in hours are convenient and generally service is quick. I had been to Bella's before and left with an average manicure. I'm not sure what happened this time. I walked in asking for a manicure with shellac nail polish, the tech trimmed my nails, followed by buffing then began to cut my dry cuticles. I was surprised and asked why my nails weren't soaked, cuticles pushed back then trimmed. The tech replied he was going to 'grind them off' with the bit used for acrylic nails. Needless to say I had multiple cuts on my cuticles and much of the cuticle remained on the nail bed itself. When I showed him the remaining cuticles and asked about this he offered to 'grind' the cuticles again---no thank you. I made it clear this was not the manicure I asked for and the owner attributed it to miscommunication. There were three other women having manicures and I noticed none of their nails had been soaked. Not sure how to mistake a very clear request for manicure and shellac polish. As a side note as I was washing my hands with the requested "no soap" I noticed the tech cutting his own nails and cuticles with the same tool he used on mine--GROSS!! Bottom line.....I would NOT recommend this salon, take the time and drive off the island!

Bella Nails is clean and beautiful inside. The staff were very nice and they made me felt really comfortable and relaxing. I love my gel nails! They last forever! I also got a pedicure done and it was amazing! Their message was amazing. It made me felt so relaxed. I would highly recommend Bella Nails to my friends and family.
