The Cathedral has stood at the heart of Detroit's cultural center in Midtown since it's dedication in 1911. Designed by Ralph Adams Cram, the building is well known for it's woodwork, stained glass, the Pewabic tile floor and for it's music program. In addition to Sunday services and the Cathedral being open during office hours the Woodward Avenue doors are open on Fridays with docents available for tours. The Cathedral is a short walk from the new Q-Line stops and parking for " Open Cathedral" is available off of Cathedral Lane.
