A group of us ate at Kobe on New Year's Eve so the restaurant was crowded. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes past our reservation for our table but the bar staff was attentive and we enjoyed the time with our friends. We sat at a habachi table for dinner. The food was good and the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. The staff, however, seemed to be just going through the motions. Maybe it was because it was New Year's Eve, but the wait staff was slow and the cook was not very animated. The restaurant is so close to the house and my complaints were minor enough that I will go back.
