Provided by YPmobileIf I could give less than one star I would. Because of how early into life the animals at the Humane Society are spaid there is a large chance for them to develop problems later in life. A little over 2 years ago my family adopted a dog from the Greenville Humane Society and she instantly had bladder problems from the early age that they had done that to her. We worked through it and she was the best dog anyone could ask for. After 2 years though she got sick and the vets couldn't figure out was wrong. My poor puppy died. This would not have happened if she had been taken better care of in her early life. Something needs to be done about this. ASAP.

Provided by YP.comRUDE < RUDE< RUDE. Someone needs to step in and teach these people, especially the receptionist, how to work with the public. If they hate their jobs, then they need to quit. Shame on employees who are rude to people who are trying to help the helpless animals. I will never go there again and advise anyone that goes there to write a post about these rude people instead of just talking about them. Maybe someone intelligent will come in and weed out these bad employees if we all start speaking up. They don't deserve "1" star.

Provided by YPmobileWe went in to get our daughter a puppy for her birthday. After playing and growing attached to the puppy for 20 minutes in one of their bonding rooms we were told we " would not be permitted to adopt a puppy at this time." When I asked why they told me that my daughter was "clearly too young for a pet" and had " obviously not been around animals very much." When I told them we already had a cat and that she is around dogs on a regular basis they basically accused me of lying. They were not nice about it all and were very rude and accusing.

Provided by YP.comWe adopted two dogs from the Greenville Humane Society last year. We couldn't be more pleased with our pets. The first was a miniature Schnauzer that we named Buddy. He was in perfect health and a very happy dog from the day we brought him home. He loves to ride in the car. He was groomed and bathed and looked so handsome when we adopted him. He was very well cared for. He was lonely when we would go to work so I went back and chose a friend for Buddy. This time I chose a Terrier mix that we named Gus. He was a happy little dog that always looks like he is smiling. He is the perfect match for Buddy, this little character is full of life and he and Buddy love to play together. They are inseparable pals.
I had a wonderful experience with GHS. They were friendly and informative about my pets and I know they cared about the animals in their care. The facility is very clean. All the animals look healthy. It is very hard leaving with the feeling that you wish you could find all the animals a happy, loving home. I would recommend GHS to anyone looking for a little companion.
