Neg. stars! Liars with bad business

I rarely find anything worth going to a store to refurbish or fix. I am not a purse person but I found one that fit my computer in and hugged close to my body. I dropped it off for new lining in October 2013. Was told week to two weeks for reasonable price. It was never ready. I'd call, they'd say we will call you. Don't call us. I kept the tag. I came to store in December weeks before Christmas. Was promised it would be ready that it was being worked on this weekend but Wait for a phone call. Came back to store in February was shown liner material and promised would be done that weekend but if wanted would be given back in pieces. Came back the next week wasn't ready. Demanded purse back in scraps or not. Was given back purse in exactly the same condition I brought it in. Was never worked on for months and owner in other room was cowardly and refused to come out. -Need negative stars for this business.

I had a pair of boots re-soled. The original sole was rubber. I did not care for robber on the heals and wanted leather. The work done was excellent, and now I an not concerned about my knees when I am dancing. I will be back when these soles wear out.

Awesome place!

So not very often do I give a place 5 stars, so hopefully that tells you something about my experience with JT's.

I have been looking for shoe polish for my "Cognac" colored (according to the manufacturer) $400 dress shoes for a few months. I happened to be visiting Huntsville on business, and decided to try my luck with shoe repair stores here. The few places left back home, have proven to be very unreliable in their hours, and many don't even carry a good selection of shoe polish.

Yellowpages.com to the rescue. JT's was the second place that came up, and not knowing any better, I called the first place. No answer. Called JT's, and he answered very quickly. He was very helpful over the phone, and most importantly, friendly. JT knows customer service, and you can tell.

I got directions to the store, and made my way there. Once there, I popped in the door, and JT greeted me, introduced himself, and asked me what I needed. Told him I needed polish for my poor shoes. He took one look at them and said "that's Sandlewood". He took the Sandalwood polish container off the shelf, and without me even having to ask, grabbed a rag, dabbed a bit, and tried a spot on my shoe. Dead on color match! In an instant they looked 100 times better. JT also instructed me on how best to apply the polish.

JT told me that he used to have a shoe shine stand, so I bet that's where he got the eagle eye for color!

I paid for the polish (under $4! Not like back home, over $5, with no help) and wished JT a good day. I do believe he doesn't take credit cards, just so you don't show up without cash, but I understand the motives for that. Credit cards can be a hassle, and they take their cut out of his earnings, which is just passed on to customers at stores that do accept them. He is probably able to keep his prices lower without them.

I hope JT gets a chance to read this, as do others who are looking for someplace they can trust. While I didn't have JT do any other work on my shoes, he is the type of business man that this country has lost in droves over the decades, and I have no doubt that he will do his absolute best on any job he gets. His customer service alone should keep him in business for a long, long, time. But if you ever want to move JT, I think Seattle could use a shoe person of your caliber.

Please reward JT with your business. He's worth the drive even if you are hours away. Who hasn't been disappointed in a business, and spent valuable time and money to find that out? Go to JT with confidence that won't happen. I would gladly drive hours, KNOWING that I was going to be a satisfied customer. Confidence in businesses is sorely lacking today, but JT has mine.

Thanks again JT, it was a pleasure. I wish you many long years of prosperity.
