My ac went out this past summer on one of the many hot days. I called Northern and spoke to Natalie she was very responsive and courteous to my service needs. She had a tech at my house within an hour. Bob made a quick diagnosis and had my ac up in running in no time. Their repair cost was fair and I bought a 3-yr. maintenance contract. Great job Northern! I have already recommended you to my co-workers.

I had a wonderful experience with Northern Comfort Systems. Everyone from Melinda who arranged for me to receive service on my air conditioner to the tech that came to my home was first class. The tech

was on time and made the repair (needed new motor) quickly and explained everything he was doing along the way. The price was fair

and it seems to be working better than it has in years. I also purchased

a maintenance program for annual cleaning of my air conditioner and

furnace. Thanks Northern I have recommended you to several of my friends and will continue doing so in the future.

I would absolutely NOT recomme...

I would absolutely NOT recommend Northern Comfort Systems and would give them a negative star rating if it was possible. I found them in the Yellow Pages and called them based on the favorable reviews I read here. Because they offer "Free Second Opinions," we called them out to look at the heat pump in our rental house. A technician named Roy came out on Thursday to inspect the unit and assured my husband that the compressor was shot and that we need a new heat pump. My husband, however, found it unsettling that Roy was in a hurry (I believe we were his last call of the day) and that Roy was absentminded in that he left his expensive set of tools behind. So we called Northern Comfort Systems back with our doubts, and on Saturday a second technician named Bob came out to inspect our heat pump. Bob told my husband that he thought the compressor was fine and that the unit was overcharged with freon, but he didn't have a reclamation tank with him and said he would return on Monday. After taking another look at things on Monday, Bob determined the problem was actually with the reversing valve. Bob said that Roy didn't know what he was talking about in regards to us needing a new system, and said that the reversing valve was quite replaceable. Bob also said that Roy had filed a report saying he'd had to abandon his tools at our rental house after getting into a confrontation with our tenant. This is impossible as our tenant wasn't even home during the time of the inspection! Bob was supposed to call us back by the next day (Tuesday) with a repair estimate. We didn't hear from him. So on Wednesday, I called Northern Comfort Systems yet again and spoke to Jeff, who (I believe) is in charge of the technicians. I filled Jeff in on what both Roy and Bob said was wrong with our heat pump, and brought up Roy's strange lie about why he abandoned his tools. Jeff said he'd spoken to neither Roy or Bob about our repair, and would call me back that day. Also, later on Wednesday, Bob did call my husband back, saying he didn't have a repair price yet but would by Thursday and could make the repair on Friday. On Thursday, Jeff calls me back to inform me that that Northern Comfort Systems would NOT be making the repair due to the age of the heat pump but that they would be happy to install a new system. Jeff said that putting money into a repair on a unit near the end of its projected lifespan would be foolish, and that more than likely other expensive repairs would be needed soon. He said he didn't want to be responsible if they fixed the reversing valve and then other things started going wrong. I told him that we didn't appreciate this about face, and he replied that Bob had also recommended replacing the heat pump and warned my husband that only repairing the valve was a bad idea. This is an absolute lie. Jeff was completely unapologetic and pointed out that his company had been to our rental house three different times without charge (due to their "Free Second Opinions"). They might not have wasted our money, but as a company, Northern Comfort Systems sure as hell wasted our time. My husband had to take time out of his day three separate times to meet their repair technicians. Also, thanks to their ineptness, a week has now gone by and our heat pump still isn't repaired.

Great people to do business with. We had an emergency at four in the morning, and they were there! No extra charge either. It's an old cliche, but they say what they mean and they mean what they say. We love this company.
