Everything is ok at this Japanese family owned dental firm until it comes time for money to change hands, then hold onto your wallet. They got a nice writeup in the Irvine News that failed to mention that they routinely try to overcharge their patients for services. This happened to me twice. Charged me $30 more for a whitening kit than what I was quoted and then tried to charge me more than $200 for a deep cleaning than I was quoted on paper. They only backed off when I said I had a written quote. Watch out for Renee, the front office person clerk. She runs the finances, and the Japanese are either dumb as rocks letting her handle the front and back end of the money part, or they are complicit. To me, this makes no difference. If these are only dentists in town, make sure you get a written quote before you agree to anything other than a routine cleaning and review your insurance statement to make sure their numbers jive with what Arbor charged you giving you permission to leave their offices. In the end , this firm gives dentistry a bad name.
