I have been to eight Six Flags parks and this is definitely one of my favorites. Overall the park's theming is quite good, although the candied buildings in the park's central section are a little generic to me and the abandoned lakefront show area is quite an eyesore.

The rides, however, not the scenery are this park's main draw and they definitely have a good range of them here. El Toro is the best wooden coaster I have ever been on and Bizarro is a pretty good floorless coaster. The first ride I went on, though was Kingda Ka and the launch was definitely thrilling, although it is pretty rough for a steel coaster and I prefer its older brother, Top Thrill Dragster, even though is is slightly shorter and slower.

The rest of the coasters here don't really stand out to me, especially not Superman: Ultimate Flight or Batman: The Ride since they are carbon copies of rides at other Six Flags parks. Nitro is a good coaster, although I prefer my home B&M hypercoaster, Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia. If you are traveling with kids they have three very good family rides, Runaway Mine Train, The Dark Knight Coaster, and the unique Houdini's Great Escape.

I have a gold season pass from another Six Flags so I didn't have to pay the exorbitant $25 parking fee thankfully but that along with the higher than typical admission for a Six Flags park are probably the biggest drawbacks to this park, along with the lines. The lines when I went in mid August on a Monday were two hours each for any of the major coasters, which is crazy and really limits what you're able to do in a day. Since I wasn't able to ride everything during my first visit I went back the following day, a day when it was cloudy and started raining halfway through the day and there were hardly any lines, so I would definitely recommend going on a day when there's a chance of rain if you want to try to avoid the lines and enjoy a day of world-class thrills.

Fun rides

Fun rides but too lines are to long. They do have a line pass but it cost extra. It would be good if they offered a ride reservation system like other parks do.

Great rides

Great rides but way overcrowded. Don't even try to wait for the new ride - you could be in line (in the sun) for hours.
