Beautiful Rushmore Cave, located in Keystone, S.D., is the area's largest stalactite cave and the closest cave to Mount. Rushmore National Memorial. One of the main attractions at Rushmore Caves is the Big Room that has stalactites dangling from its ceilings and walls, stone columns, stalagmites and flowstones and ribbons, draperies and helictites. It is an official Black Hills, Badlands and Lakes Association of South Dakota-approved family attraction, as well as a member of a variety of professional tourism and cave management organizations. Beautiful Rushmore Cave offers special services, tours and admission rates for different groups, including motorcoach groups, conventions, family reunions, school groups and companies.
