When I came to Dr Ivie after I had already seen two other surgeons. I left both appointments scared to death and started questioning weather I could handle being in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I had worked 16 months to lose over 200 pounds without Surgical Intervention. I did this because I wanted my life back to a semi normal place.
As I left Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic, I knew I had found the surgeon I would trust with my surgery. What was different with Dr. Conrad Ivie is, he took the time to explain why I needed knee replacement surgery, He explained what could be done to help me and the realistic expectations that I could look forward to afterwards. He made it clear that we were in a partnership and I was expected to do my part as well. Twelve weeks later I am doing "AMAZING!" I am 100% sure I made the right decision. Dr. Ivie was has made it so I can once again enjoy my family again. My life has been changed and I have to say it all started when I decided to walk through the door of Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic. The second I was there I was greeted by Katie Marten smiling and each member of the TOC team making everything easy to understand. I knew from start to finish what to expect because of the surgery class and the book I got to take home explaining everything from exercises to what to expect on the day of surgery! I am scheduled in 3 weeks to get my other knee replaced. I am not the least bit worried. I am being cared for by the BEST SURGEON in all of East Tennessee! Thank you Everyone at TOC for giving me more than HOPE! You gave me my life back! I love you all so very much!
