I agree with you. I have had numerous landlord tenant issues as well as Medical Insurance denial problems and have been told to handle these issues myself or move out, which is impossible due to my extreme disabilities. I also have an upcoming surgery to be performed in October 2015, out of state. I think that this is where they are refusing to help as I asked them to help me during my appeal last Year 2014. They refused to represent me claiming that I have no merit to my case,. Their paralegal made this judgement call. Yes Indeed, they are extremely rude, very unprofessional and retaliatory. It doesn't matter what valid legal problem that I present to them, they find some excuse & refuse to cooperate. IN fact, I won my Medical Appeal case ALL by myself and made them look very foolish. I wish I knew how to get them in trouble for this Professional misconduct. This office is locate in Morristown, Tennessee. Their other Pro Bono Project Office is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. I have dealt with both offices. I wish the Government would shut them down.

Don't bother calling these people. One of their female attorneys from the Oak Ridge office helped me with a case nine or ten years ago. She was so rude and abusive that as soon as the case wrapped up I filed a complaint against her with the Board of Professional Responsibility. To this day, the entire Legal Aid Society of East Tennessee refuses to help me or my disabled children simply because I dared to hold one of their attorneys accountable for her behavior. These people are unprofessional and retaliatory.
