Fixed my mower that wasn't working within a few days. It didn't start up at first, but after letting it sit for a while it started up and has been working since. Thanks.

I would highly recommend them! Always very helpful and polite. I don't know much about mowers, rotatillers,,,etc, but when I need help with any type of maintenance they are my first choice! Thank you for all you've done for me!

I am a maintenance manager at the mobile home park down the road, our mower takes a beating mowing all the property. Darold's is a very friendly environment personable and very helpful. They have a lot of stuff I need for my commercial mowers, if not, they can have it there in no time. At no extra cost. I can tell they love their job and enjoy doing business with the public. I have more things that I don't have time to mess with that I am taking to them, because I trust them. It is a pleasure doing business with them.

Very helpful. They to figured out what part I needed for a broken small engine and had the part in stock.

Extremely Bad Business People Invoice # A2117915

F minus! I took our push lawn mower into these people for repairs (it would not start). When I called they told me they could look at it and give me some idea while I waited. When I got there they said it would have to be left for a day or two. When I called seven days later they still hadn't gotten to it. After twelve days they called and said it was done. Done??? Isn't it a law in Michigan that I have to be given an estimate before any work over $20 is done? The answer is "yes it is". When I brought that up they said they could put it back the way it was if I didn't like it. So, here I was, stuck with $70 worth of work on a $150 (eight years ago) lawn mower! That would have been bad enough, but the story is not over. The second time we went to use the mower it wouldn't start again. It had the EXACT same issue as before! I called Darold's Lawn and Trail asking for the owner. I was given the runaround. I was told by the person on the other end of the phone that I couldn't talk to the owner or manager and that they would take a message for him. It was apparent that they were just screening calls for him. I refused to play that game and hung up. Instead I wrote a letter to the manager, leaving my phone number. I received a call back a few days later. I was told that I could bring the mower back in and if it was something they had worked on there would be no charge. IF IT WAS SOMETHING THEY HAD WORKED ON??? Of course it WASN'T something they had worked on. They fixed something that wasn't broken and now they want another chance to fix what IS broken! When I pay someone for repairs it is NOT to fix SOMETHING! It is to fix what is broken! If you read this review you will see that there are at least FOUR instances of horrible customer service in this one transaction: 1) Excessive time to repair 2) Work done without authorization 3) Failure to properly repair 4) Failure to properly deal with customer complaint. I want my $70 back. If refunded I will amend this review.
