They destroyed a new pair of black denim jeans. We brought in the pants to be altered that were cut and pinned to the correct length. The hem was NOT completed as we had asked and was done SO POORLY - crooked, not ironed before sewn - resulting in weird folding beneath the hem line and the hem itself was crooked as well as the length wasn't evenly sewn. We brought the pants back to be fixed and they ended up "fixing" by cutting more of the length (now they're too short) and hemmed crooked AGAIN. Finally, took them back in to to refund the alteration and a pair of replacement pants now that mine were shorter than we had asked. The owner would not take full responsibility, said they did not make the pants shorter, and offered only half the value in cleaning credit OR a refund of the alteration cost only. They completely destroyed a new pair of black denim and we will not be doing business there. BEWARE OF ALTERATIONS - the poorest of quality work and poor customer service!

I prefer to go to a "green" cleaner for my laundry and dry cleaning, and Hyperion Cleaners offers residents of the Los Feliz / Silverlake area a good option.



Pros: Convenient hours of operation, reasonable prices and flexible turnaround.



Cons: parking. It's right next to Trader Joe's on Hyperion, so it can be tough getting in and out of there!
