For naengmyun, it's definitely in the top 3 in Koreatown. They have really good kimchi dumplings too!

CLOSED ON SUNDAYS & AFTER 9 P.M. on MON-SAT!!!



I just had to make sure you all got that 'cos I've gone like 2xs - once at 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday night & once around noon on a Sunday day. I was so annoyed at myself for not calling first to check their hours.



Still as good as it gets for chic hwe naeng myun (that black noodle) with spicy raw fish. They serve it with a side of icy broth from the regular mool naeng myun.



And of course we can't forget the King Kimchi Dumplings (kimchi wang mandoo)! I can barely hold it up in my chopsticks to dip it into my soy sauce+vinegar concoction...then barely make it to the plate to take a bite. It's ridiculously gianormous!



They have a warm meaty broth that we self-served ourselves after the meal near the ice water pitcher by the cashier - yummy goodness!



Something about having naeng myun on a hot day is like people who want watermelon or an icy cold beer on a front porch during a nice summer day ...something about the heat brings out the craving for naeng myun for me. Wait...it's November...eh, it was over 90 degrees in SoCal this past week. That's winter weather for you in SoCal!



They used to have 2 other locations but both of them disappeared. I always like this location on Serrano & Olympic better than the other 2 any way.



One thing to note, the parking lot in front in the evenings becomes valet only - complimentary - tip only - but it's still valet.
