We've been around the dog park a few times. Since 1972 Canine Country Club and Feline Inn's team of highly trained, dedicated individuals has been behind the scenes from the wee hours of the mornings until long after the sun goes down every minute of every day. We're honored to have enjoyed an extraordinary number of repeat customers since opening our doors, and expanding with a second location in 1997. We are members of the Pet Care Services Association (formerly the ABKA) and adhere to their strict guidelines. Several managers are Certified Pet Care Specialists.

Did not call when dog was sick.

Unfortunately, I cannot write a good review for this facility. We left our dog there for 5 days while we went on a short ski trip. Our dog was perfectly healthy when we left, but when we picked her up she had a lesion on her face. No one called us to tell us there was anything wrong with our dog. We took her to the vet and discovered that she had ringworm. The Vet visits and subsequent medication cost more than the boarding. The general manager did call and apologize after the fact; however, I did not feel this was adequate under the circumstances.

They only care about $$ not the pet/owner

DO NOT GO HERE! They only care about money and not the ultimate care of our pet...RUN!

Your System is a Big Joke !

Where as your place maybe clean, and do provide so good care, as far as I can seethis place is all about the money.Friend of mine paid in advance for his dog to stay there, garenteed reseveration I was told, some plans got changed, and he found the his females friend would not be going, So the dog could stay with her ,BETTER for the Dog all around NO Real Stress involved, He called as soon as he could , he did expect not to get all his money back, because he cancled but they refused to give him no money back , these folks had plenty of time to book other K9's in the dogs place , there would have been no real loss, Ok So it was not a weeks notice, but it was not 2 days before he was suppose to be there either, So now the Dog is still going to Be at this place instead of being Home where he belongs with someone he loves and trusts, Why all because these people are all about the money. He has used this place in the past, But this will be the LAST TIME they ever see this dog again.

Great place for sensitive pup

This is the only place we have boarded our very sensitive dog and she hasn't gotten ill from anxiety. Ask for the casita unit if you need an upgrade to a quieter area , they are small rooms with the dutch doors so the animals don't feel secluded but it's better than a chain link fence separating the animals. Plus they get extra attention while staying in that area, a couple of play times a day and a daily treat like a yogurt or a hot dog. My only complaint is that they do get very busy and there is a degree of chaos at the front desk at times. You have to be patient and not be in a rush. This also goes for making reservations. Sometimes the phone system can keep you on hold a LONG time. It is very worth it.

Canine Country Club is a great place for dogs!

The Canine Country Club is a very clean facility. We took a tour before we left Buster there for a weekend, and my wife and I were struck by how clean and nice the facility is (North Valley). It does not smell like a kennel at all! The dog runs are much larger than we had been expecting. We both felt safe and secure leaving Buster there. And when we picked him up, he did not "punish" us too much--I think that means that Buster likes it too. We signed him up for Doggy Day Care each day, although it is an additional charge it was well worth it! We got Report Cards (!) for each day telling us about who Buster played with and how he did. We miss him when we're away from him, and the Report Cards made my wife and me feel so much better about not being able to take Buster on this trip. Thank you Canine Country Club!

When you don't have family to puppy-sit, take them to Canine Country Club!

Canine Country Club is the best. My dog loves to go to Doggy Day Care there! He always comes home happy and wagging his tail. The most difficult part of going out of town used to be worrying about my pup+not any more. The staff at Canine Country Club so clearly LOVES dogs. (I am sure they love cats too; my two have not yet stayed at the Feline Inn). Gus (my dog) is always excited when we pull in+that says it all for me. He has had a bath at Canine Country Club too and it went well (bath time is not always his favorite time!) I highly recommend this pet-loving place.
