crappiest attitude i ever been to. been ripped off twice when i brought in good solid steel in piles and they gave me the price of a flat sheet metal, not steel!

Horrible customer Service. Desk lady is extremely rude. They rip you off. take the time to look at all of your scrap yards options and you will be amazed at how many other Scrap yards will pay much higher per pound. Even RIGHT down the street from this company. BROADWAY INDFOOR METALS is just about 2 miles further east on Broadway and they paid me $1.60 per pound versus American metals and their $1.23 offer. The customer service at Broadway indoor was friendly, fast, and efficient. They are also open until 5pm instead of $4:30 like American *sshole Metals.Before I knew any better, I went through this company 5 different times and each experience was increasingly worse. Please take my advice and do NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!

American Metals employees are very rude and have the lowest prices per pound I have come across. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone I liked as a human being.

DO NOT USE AMERICAN METALS on braodway and extension. I can believe how poor their customer service is, not to mention how BAD THEIR PRICES ARE. They are a complete rip off when it comes to selling them your scrap metal. They wanted to purchase romex copper for $1.32, when I found several places in Avondale that gave me $1.85 per pound. The lady that disperses the cash is extremely rude and the manager is inept. AVOID AMERICAN METALS. I even found a MUCH BETTER scrap metal business (BROADWAY INDOOR METALS) just a little bit further east on Broadway and they are even open til 5 instead of 4:30 like American *sshole Metals.

It took me a few trips to get the hang of recycling here. From the street it's hard to tell where to pull-in/park etc. but don't be afraid to pull right in the front driveway among big trucks coming
