The Salt Shaker bookstore sits below Mt. Rainer in the small town of Enumclaw, WA. Although we carry a specially selected range of Christian books, gifts, and music, our main focus is providing classic materials that reflect the message of the cross. Feel free to come in and check things out, ask questions and chat with our volunteer staff. Everyone is friendly and eager to serve. We are still closed on Sundays! Recently a large Christian bookstore chain announced they planned to stay open on Sundays. A quick call to such stores in our area confirmed that, not only was this true, but another store unaffiliated with this chain was even open during church worship times. The only time Jesus displayed physical anger was toward the money changers, when he made a whip and drove them out of the temple. Jesus demands that we never mix commerce with worship. It is a sign of holiness when Christians keep commerce separate from worship of God.
