If this is the same company run by William Wells..I am not sure how legitimate they are. They did some road work for me (laid asphalt aggregate) under the name of B & J Construction, which appears to share the same address and phone number. They told me repeatedly they would "make me happy". Seemed to be their sales pitch. A month later, I contacted them about issues with the road surface and trailer site parking spots, one of which is completely deteriorated.. They said it was a bit cold, and better to come back to remedy the situation when it warmed up because the road surface sets better. . They acknowledged that they "owed me a truckload of aggregate". A few weeks later, I inquired again, and they said that aggregate material would not be available until May/June. That time frame passed, I called several times, and finally got a return call. Finally they called back. Mr. William Wells then indicated aggregate material would not be available until September. That did not really seem legit, so I did some digging. In August I left a message that I had been in contact with the Louisiana Asphalt Paving Association, who indicated that there has never been an issue in reference to the availability of asphalt aggregate . I left a message with them repeating my findings.I also asked them to visit the property and examine the state of the road surface. It took them three weeks to return my call during which I left a message telling them I would file a report with the BBB and also the State Attorney General. They rarely return phone calls, and when they do, it is only after I suggest action taken. Once that was done, within a couple of days, I received a very angry phone call from Mr. William who said that it was an issue with their supplier, Sounds like a bit of BS to me. I think they need another supplier if they were to conduct a professional operation, and also return phone calls. He then said that he would then not probably come back at all since I made threats about reporting his company.. I told him it was not a threat, but a promise. It is now October, and he has indeed not returned to complete the project. I would definitely not recommend using them for any projects, as they do not follow up, and did a very poor job from the outset. I am beginning to question their legitimacy, and very much "not happy" with B & J Construction who appears to operate under several other names and phone numbers based out of the same address (W W Construction is one that appears to operate from the same address with the same name as the owner - William Wells). The company B & J Construction and W W Paving owned by a William Wells are not listed in the State of Louisiana Business directory. . The BBB closed the case because they could not contact the company.
