Of all nasty consular staff, of which there's no shortage, the visa staff here get the gold for being rude, discourteous and inconsiderate. They are racist and discriminatory too. They'll take you around in circles, waste your time and money and end up disliking your visa request. With them in charge, it's much easier to get to heaven or hell for that matter than to go for a 7 day trip to Italy.

It's disgusting. The telephone rings eternally without any messages, nor can one leave a message. I think it's the only consulate so difficult to reach. They are totally careless about the Italian in USA.
