I knew I needed back brakes and stopped in there because I've used them for an oil change. My front brakes had been serviced in June, but I wanted them checked. Since I've priced brake pads at O'Reilly's and knew they were under $60, imagine my surprise when they told me it would be $711 to change both brakes!! Are they insane? Brakes are so easy to do that I've actually done them myself. I laughed thinking they were joking. Then the man showed me the bill. $80 for both pads and $70 to turn the rotors, a job so easily that O'Reilly's does it for less than $20. Somehow there various charges added up to $711. I told them no way and took my car to my mechanic AFTER spending less than $100 on BOTH set of pads at O'Reilly's. My mechanic told me that the front brakes didn't even need changed and only charged me $70 to change the pads.



Save yourself hundreds of dollars, don't go to this very crooked and overpriced place unless you just want an oil change!

I have been a loyal customer of Kwik Kar in Normal for almost 4 years now. I went in for routine maintenance and oil changes regularly. When I last got my oil changed they told me my brake pedal was low and I should have it checked. When I took it in later, they quoted me $958.17 in repairs. I later took it to a local repair shop that had been in business for 28 years and received excellent reviews online. They told me after inspection that my brakes were in perfect functioning order and that my rotors looked next to new and were without rust. I have to wonder how many people have taken their word for it and did not get a second opinion like I did.
