Great Mexican food. I'm nearly 70 years old and I've eaten at lot of Mexican restaurants in the U.S. in my time, so I think I know good Mexican food when I eat it... and I've eaten at some pretty fancy Mexican restaurants, Lupita's is not gourmet, but for the basic fare it's about as good as you might find anywhere. Try the mole, it's so delicious and it's the best I've ever had... but everyone seems to have their own recipe for mole and Lupita must have some secret ingredient. Her Chile Rellenos are the best you can find anywhere. The beef and chicken dishes are always fresh and hot. Great salsa and she makes her own chips and salsa... I can eat a couple of baskets of Lupita's chips, and two bowls of her salsa if given the chance, before the food arrives.
It's not in some picturesque location, kind of in an semi-industrial section of Greenback Blvd. but the prices are very affordable and the staff is always pleasant and happy to see you. I've been eating there for at least sixteen years and will be back soon, maybe even tonight?.
