Fresh Market has the same type of upscale ambience as Whole Foods, but their prices seem to be lower overall. They have GREAT deals all the time on things... like Tuesdays, they have ground chuck and chicken breasts at a super low price and people come in just for that.

They also have a lot of semi-prepared things in the meat and deli area... like already put together and you just cook or warm up. This is great if you are super tired and just want to pick up a nice dinner on the way home.

Their wine selection is amazing... they carry top brands and at good prices, plus their customer service is always EXCELLENT.

One thing I like is that they are always sampling things, like the WINE, lol ... you can also get free coffee samples (I'm always picking up a new flavor), samples of their foods in the deli, and last time I was there the "meat guy" gave me a sample of their super awesome smoked/cured salmon.

You can tell this store is well managed as the General Manager is always out on the floor working right alongside his people. As someone who managed in retail myself, I always appreciate seeing that, as it sets the right tone of teamwork for the staff. Everyone seems to be very happy working there and I don't see a lot of turn over... another good sign.
