I was referred to Monte Vista Pet Lodge by my neighbor and I am so glad I checked them out. They are wonderful to work with. Each time I leave my dog, I don't have to worry about him or his care unlike another kennel here in Rio Rancho where came home with an ear infection in both ears and another time swollen ears and scabs all over them. The staff at Monte Vista are great!! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a clean, friendly and caring environment for their dog.

I have been taking my dog Roger to Monte Vista Pet Lodge for a while now for day care and grooming. The groomer does a great job and the entire staff is friendly, caring and professional. The thing that impressed us the most was the manager Rebecca did the meet and greet in person, took us on a tour explaining everything. Also we like that you can bring your own dog food when boarding. If you are looking for a place to take your dog/cat and NOT worry about them, I highly recommend Monte Vista. Roger loves going there and is totally exhausted when he gets home.

We've been using Monte Vista Pet Lodge since they opened. I loved the fact that they require a visit with the pets & their parents before the pets stay the first time. When we visited, Rebecca, the manager, immediately made us feel comfortable & took us on a tour of the facility.We've kenneled our dogs here approximately 6 times in the last year with stays ranging from 1 day in doggie day care to 13 days while we were in Alaska.While in AK, our female Pomeranian, Bella, got sick & once it became clear she needed to see the vet, Rebecca called us. She took Bella to our vet first thing in the morning & they gave her the prescribed medication until we got home. We also received a few phone calls letting us know how Bella was doing (in addition to the several we made to them to check on her!). When we returned, there was no extra charge for taking such good care of her except for the amount our vet charged Monte Vista when they took Bella in. That is excellent service & above & beyond what we expected. I figured there'd be a fee added on for having to transport Bella to the vet.We're allowed to bring our own food for the dogs (our old kennel charged extra if we brought our own food), their beds they love to sleep in and a couple of toys for each of them. That makes us feel better because we know our dogs have that piece of home with them.We've also used the grooming services at Monte Vista. The groomer, Adele, does a great job! Our dogs like her & she takes good care of them. The prices are reasonable & Adele is very flexible. If you want to know that your pet is being treated just like you'd treat them, you should pay Monte Vista Pet Lodge a visit!

We have been happily using Monte Vista since they opened. Dexter, our now 1 yr old Great Dane puppy, receives the finest care at their facility. We have some particular feeding requests when boarding and the staff has gone out of their way to accommodate us, and being a rescue, Dexter has some integration issues which they work to overcome giving him the social skills he needs which makes his daily daycare experiences value added. Their staff and training is second to none and their on-staff veterinarian experience a plus not to mention having an emergency Animal clinic located right next door. We have boarded him several times and each time he comes home a happy dog. I know first-hand they incorporate many practices to ensure the safety and well-being of our precious pet. These include sterilizing each suite before introducing another pet and what appears to be weekly staff meetings that cover things like customer service and animal training. Overall I would rate our experience with MVPL as excellent. I think Dexter would say the same as he is always excited to go visit. Our baby Bella stayed at Monte Vista for 18 days and when we picked her up we were so amazed at how good Bella looked, and how attentive the staff was and the young lady had to hug Bella bye. We were so happy that when we picked her up she wasn't starving for water as she had with the previous place she stayed and that she hadn't lost weight but looked happy and healthy. I would so recommend this great place for your pet. Thanks so much Monte Vista for an 18 day stress free stay ( for us ) and our Bella.
