This is the worst place to bring your child. To start off, they were supposed to submit a form to my insurance for me to get speech services approved for my son.I was told it would take a couple weeks and the office would call me.After a few weeks, I didn't receive a call back.So I called them, and come to find out the receptionist didn't send in anything to insurance for my son, and they had no record of my son in the system! I couldn't believe that they would have no record of my son, and that the receptionist never sent anything into insurance! That is a month of speech services that my son could of been receiving. I can't get back that time lost. I know how important early intervention is for children, and this place should learn that too. They are very disorganized. I was furious that they didn't have any record of my son! The second receptionist that helped me finally sent in the request to my insurance and my insurance approved the services within two days. I was then given two times during the week for my son to be evaluated. These times were during his nap time, so I wanted to get times the following week, so that my son would cooperate during the evaluation. The speech therapist, Helen Demetrion, was very rude to me and wouldn't check her available times for the following week. She was so rude. I told her I wanted to see about the times the following week, but she wouldn't check her schedule for the following week. She should know how important speech therapy is for early intervention for young children. Instead of checking her schedule for the following week, she referred me to ask any further questions to her supervisor. I asked her to call me so we can discuss times (she was texting me), since it is her schedule, but she brushed me off. I was just trying to get an evaluation date so that my son can start services. If she doesn't care about her clients, she should find another career. This place is overall terrible.Bring your child to Leaps and Bounds.
