i9 Sports Charlotte was NOT a good experience. My son played Flag football through i9 last fall. There was a few hickups a long the way but not bad enough to turn me off from signing my son up for the 6 week winter basketball program. From the very start it was very unorganized and parents were not notified of things until the last minute. He was suppose to play at the Mallard Creek location; however, due to equipment issues they had to relocate to Hopewell High School. The coaches were clueless on how or what to teach 4 yr olds about basketball. They used terminology that a 4 yr old would never know and did not explain what they were referring to. An example is telling them to run to half court or to the base line. The majority of the time was spent playing simon says with the kids. There were too many kids for only one coach to be working with. The kids would get restless while waiting their turn to shoot or pass the ball when doing drills. Anytime there was a change in the schedule due to issues with equipment or the high school gym not being available due to a previously scheduled event the parents were not notified until the night before or the morning of. I called to express my concerns and I left a brief voicemail asking nicely for someone to return my call and no one ever returned my call. Needless to say is was not a pleasant experience. I will not be a return customer nor will I recommend them.

My son had a blast playing. Set up so everyone feels like a team player. He loved going!

i9 Flag Football

The website is great! I didn't even have to contact anyone to register my son. It was all done online. When I did have a question of whether my son could be on the same team as his friend, the program director actually answered the phone (this was a surprises as that has never happened in all the other leagues that our son is in), and said that that would not be a problem.
