Took in our GREEN Honda Civic for the "Presidential" paint service. When we picked it up, there were several drips and imperfections in the paint and the color was BLUE/BLACK. Honestly, I did not even recognize our car on the lot! We were told it was an error in the chemicals and color formula and to take it home to let the paint "cure" and bring it back in 2 weeks (and maybe we would grow to like the color change?) It is a two hour round trip drive to this shop and I was not thrilled to have to bring the car back. My son actually did like the new color, but my husband was worried that the door jambs were still green. When we took the car back we asked them to keep it this new color, but correct the many imperfections in the paint application. Just picked it up last night...it is now a BLUE/GREEN color ??? When I called today to voice my concern I was told that they did me a “favor”. Since my husband was concerned that the door jambs were green, they picked a new color between the original green and the blue/black color so the door jambs would blend with the car color. All this without ever once asking my permission to change the color of my car! This is their business - to match paint color!!!! I asked for a discount and was told that they had invested too much time painting my car twice and could not discount my job. But they painted it twice because of their own errors??? The paint application is acceptable, but the color is NOT acceptable. I am filing complaints with BBB and Maaco Corporate.
