I called this shop and asked about servicing 2 pairs of vintage binoculars, these glasses are valued at about $500 each. I was told . . "no problem, we do those all the time". The service I requested was relatively simple, basically cleaning and checking collimation. After the shop had the glasses for about 3 weeks, I called to check status, and was told "we are working on them", I asked if there was a problem, and was told "these are old and hard to work on". I asked if they could do the service, and was told YES. About 3 weeks later, I called again, and was told thet "we cant fix them", so I told the shop to return them. I was shocked when I got them back - one pair of binoculars had the objective lens broken and loose, on the other, the shop had broken off three of the screws holding the top lens in place, which was also loose in the box. When I called the shop and asked for an explanation, I was told . . . "what did you expect, they are almost 50 years old"
