My husband and I stopped by San Elizario on a trip through Texas. We found a very quaint town on the Mission Trail. We also found Gourmet Burrito. Here we had Gorditas, something we had never heard of before. We had a wonderful conversation with the owners and a lady who lives in the town. The food was excellent and the price cannot be beat. We left after purchasing several jars of homemade salsa. We hope to return one day to finish the Mission Trail. Sometimes the best trips are off the beaten path, The Mission Trail is one of them.

This is the perfect eatery if you happen to be there on a Monday (most arts/events are closed on this day) and you happen to be on a bike tour and you happen to blow out your knee and you just need a hospitable place to get out of the chill and you are a bit peckish and just need good nutrition with excellent service...! This is the perfect place for you!
