Warm & Welcome Service Provided

Just had to let everyone in the bay area know that Jozo's repair shop is the place to go if you want an honest quote! I felt that everything was explained to me in great detail :) The service provided was brakes, oil change & radiator hose. See you when it's time to change the oil :)

Jozo's very fair, honest family business. You won't be disappointed!

I have a 2002 Mini Cooper which I bought about 10 months ago. After purchasing the car, it started having problems (weird noises, engine was very dirty, etc.). I found Jozo doing a search on the web, and when I brought my little car down there, Jozo immediately made me feel like family.

Both he and Hervo do a wonderful job. They exceeded my expectations, as well as overdelivered (my car was ready sooner than they said it would be).

With all the mechanics out there, many of which are looking for issues with your car to make an extra buck, Jozo is NOT one of those. They honestly care about getting the car running the best it possibly could, and not overcharging for it.

Based on all that was wrong with my car when I brought it in, they definitely underestimated the labor and UNDERCHARGED me.

I would recommend Jozo and Hervo to anyone. Not only great mechanics, but they definitely give you more than fair prices and are great in terms of customer service.

Great Service, Great Guys

I've owned several BMW and Mecedes vehicles over the years and for the past 15 years have had them serviced at Jozo's. The owner, Jozo and his son Hrvo, are excellent diagnosticians, have reasonable pricing and have always treated me fairly. The shop's atmosphere is always friendly, no matter how busy it gets. Repairs have always been done to my satisfaction, in a timely fashion. I trust them implicitly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone and as a matter of fact, I have done so many times over. It's a great place to have your car repaired.

Thank you for honest service

I highly recommend Jozo's BMW & MBenz for service and maintenance of your BMW, Mercedes, or Mini Cooper. I have been a satisfied customer for over 15 years. Over this time, Jozo has serviced 6 of my vehicles. At one time, I did visit another repair shop but I returned to Jozo when the other shop was not able to resolve the persistent problem. Jozo fixed the problem after taking the time and energy to find the root cause. In fact, there isn't a problem that Jozo has not resolved. He is quite knowledgeable, honest, and reasonable. I have moved from the area but I still take my cars to Jozo for service. I can't afford to try a new place that will not completely resolve my car problems. If you really care of the quality of your vehicle, Jozo's BMW & Mercedes Benz is the place you ought to frequent.

Jozo's friendly, fair, and excellent service

One of my tennis buddies referred me to Jozo's about 6 months ago when I was looking for an auto shop that can service our 2 Mercedes cars. When the business owner/mechanic of the shop where we always used to bring our cars for many years decided to retire, we took our cars back to the dealership shop because it's hard to find a mechanic as friendly and as trustworthy as him. Knowing my friend as being really very picky when it comes to repair/service of his mercedes, when he told me he was very satisfied with the service Jozo's has done on his car, I listened to what he said when he referred me to Jozo's. He said, they are very meticulous and very thorough. The downside of that is...it takes them a bit longer to finish the job. My friend said he didn't mind it that much because when they were done, they did such a great job. He was very happy to tell to the rest of our tennis buddies...his car now is running like new!. So, when one of our 2 cars needed repair, I called Jozo's to make an appointment, the person who answered the phone introduced himself as Hravo, the son of Jozo, the owner of the shop. He was very pleasant to talk to and I felt very at ease talking to him on the phone. When I got to the shop, Hravo greeted me and he was even more pleasant in person than on the phone. He looked at my car after I explained to him what was going on with it. He knew right away what was causing the trouble and he said it won't take long if I want to start on it right away. He gave me the parts price and the labor charge which to me were very fair compared to the dealer's. I told him to work on it right away. Then Jozo arrived. He's as friendly and easy to talk to as his son, Hravo. He offered me coffee and chatted with me while Hravo worked on my car. Before long, it seemed we knew each other for a long time. He told me about the country he came from, how he came to the US, etc...very friendly guy. Hravo finished the job in no time and did a very well done job. That's the kind of service I am looking for, friendly, accomodating (to some extend of course depending on the extend of the repair/service), and fair price. After going back to Jozo's a couple more times since, I can say that Jozo and Hravo are honest and very trustworthy people. I believe more so when I met the rest of Jozo's family when he invited me to his home...they are all very nice people. I would recommend their shop to anybody without any reservation.

Jozo's is very fair and provides great service

I've been bringing my cars to Jozo's for 12 years and have referred many satisfied customers to them. They always treat me fairly, provide excellent service on my car, and are extremely polite and easy to deal with. Everyone I've sent to Jozo's has been very happy with their service and has saved a lot of money over going to other shops or the dealership service center.

The lady with the poor grasp of the English language in the previous review and her boyfriend probably tried to undercut Jozo's and ask for free diagnostics. Anywhere you bring your car, they are going to charge you for diagnostics. Furthermore, I know Mini batteries cost around $175 plus shipping if you buy it online and over $250 if you buy it from the dealer. So, this person probably thought they could get their battery at Costco.

If you fix Mini Coopers, I'd be aware of Bonnie and Clyde from the previous review... they're probably going to try to pull a fast one on you too...

Again.. Jozo's has been great for my family and the many friends I've sent to them.

Jozo's a bunch of bozos!

If there were a zero star rating or better yet a negative scale, i would up their rating on the minus side gladly. So burnt was I in dealing with them. Today, Feb 1 2010, i towed my mini cooper 2004 model paying 75 bucks to their repair shop. Hervo who'd earlier spoken to me by phone seemed caring and warm (this was my initial impression). The trouble with my car was that it wouldn't start at all and jump starting the battery hadn't helped either. There was a faint whir after trying to turn on the ignition and even after taking the key out of there, a steady clicking sound like that of a ticking clock could be heard afterward.

Getting back to the scene after my car landed at the jozo's auto shop--Hervo put in a new battery and the car started up. But he'd said over the phone that he'd do some computerised diagnostic readings to see if there were any problems. He repeated that and i agreed to leave the car there and he said he'd call after to tell me what other problems there may be after the check and give me a quote.

At quarter to four Hervo calls and i miss his call. I call back and he tells me that my battery's dead, recharging it won't help at all, and that I'd need a replacement battery. Am listening and i ask for a quote. I also needed an oil change. He quotes thus: 170 (battery cost), 75 (labor+diagnostic), 100 (synthetic oil change). He tells me he is giving me a very reduced rate on the parts and a discount on the labor. I agree to his going ahead with this work order. But at the back of my mind am tentative and feel they're overpriced. I quickly sleuth the Web and see that the battery costs about 100 bucks or less (for a mini cooper 2004) and the synthetic oil change costs way less than 100 bucks as well. I call back and this time Hervo's father Joe talks to me and when i tell him that i find the battery cost on the Web way lesser than 170, he goes on a major rant, yelling loudly at me!!! I couldn't get a word in, so i hung up. My boyfriend calls back and again Hervo's father yells at him. This time, he hikes up the rates and instead of 75 for labor quotes 150 and for the battery quotes 250!! My bf tells them we want to get my car and clear outta there and don't want any servicing by them. He says pay up 150 or else no car.

We land up there and they create a big scene there and after much verbal back and forth (i tell you most unpleasant, it gave me a jarring headache!), they agreed to give my car back after paying up 75 bucks in cash. They did nothing!!!

Jozo's are nothing but a bunch of bozos ripping off customers big time and cheating them off their hard earned money!!! Be warned and AVOID them at all costs!! Be especially wary of their foul tempers both father and son!! This is no way to handle customers!
