To the "Manager" who refused to answer my husband's question about hiring people with disabilities: This woman spent hours last week painting birdhouses from your store. I spent hours and hours in college working on my degree. I spend hours thinking about how much I would love to see women with physical disabilities working in stores and as CEOs, VPs, and so many other fields. I wanted an application today to feel like a dignified, self-respecting employed woman. Instead, I received smirks from young non-disabled females. I was not blind. I saw the looks. You women would not be employed either if strong female advocates had not been imprisoned for your freedom to be employed today. I am not upset that you, the manager,refused to answer my husband's question about hiring people with physical disabilities. You did, however, say that an employment application will be on file for a year. If I had set my dream of going back to college and graduating a year from getting blood clots, I would still be in college. I am glad I do not share your philosophy. I will no longer buy crafts from your store or recommend your store. I prefer to buy from craft stores online from now on.
