Horrible experience with a woman who would not open the door as I stood there with 4 vials of times senstive materials my doctor had ordered. They changed their hours recently and did not have them posted on 2/25/13 when my boyfriend picked up the materials for these tests. Then on 3/6/13 as I was returning these vials the new hours still not posted, The plaque said 7:30 am-4:30 pm and I was there at 4:05 pm. I knocked and called out that I had time sensitive materials ordered by my doctor for a test I was dropping off. I could hear someone in there moving and right behind the door. I could see in the crack of the door a middle aged, dyed blond haired woman in a white coat. I called my doctor's office about this to find out if I would have to repeat the test, how long the materials were good for and his assistant offered to call the back number of this lab. Meanwhile now this woman inside yells out that they are closed now at 4pm and she had called security! My doctor's assistant calls the back number and this woman will not answer. Then the UPS man comes by and tells me this do this all of the time, not answering or being there when he has to pick up or deliver. Then the security man comes and does not make me leave, does not understand why she will not open the door and take my test vials. Then I go down the hall a few feet away to Quest Lab which does not take my insurance but I do not want my tests to go to waste and they are open till 5 pm and take the materials and my information, but this will all be out of pocket now for me. Then I go back to the Lab Corp and this woman now has typed up a new hours sign and taped it to the door and the permanent plaque is still there of course with the old hours. She is still in there and I can hear her. I take pic on my cell of both signs. Too lazy to make this sign months ago for the many walk ins and first time patients at a lab that I am sure they have. Too bizarre and unprofessional to admit the mistake, treat me like a customer and person, take my 4 vials so they are not wasted and I do not have to pay out of pocket. And just what is she doing in there so late if they are closed and how many times does this happen and does it ever hurt a patient's health or make them suffer if test results are wrong since the UPSman told me this happens all of the time with them. With so many people looking for employment these days does the owner have any idea of this employees's bizarre and unprofessional behavior? I have also contacted the corp office and owners.
