Long Patient Wait Times

The serious problem with this practice is the time patients spend waiting past their appointment time. Such wait times tend to be very long, the muzak is annoying, and the prevailing attitude is “we’ll get to you when we get to you.” When I complained about waiting well past my appointment time, I got serious attitude from PT Matt Elniff: ”it’s my way or the highway.” (Elniff seems to be on a serious power trip) So, if you don’t mind waiting, and you don’t mind casual contempt for the patient, you may be happy here. Otherwise, there are plenty of practices in town that think it is important to see patients on time, who apologize and explain when this isn’t possible, who give patients information about likely wait times, and who generally practice patient-centered care. You won’t find much of that here. I left, and found one of those practices.

I was treated by Dr Frye for chronic hip pain. I had been to several other Drs which hadnt helped. I finally went to the center for manual medicine for help. Dr Frye educated me on how I can help myself at home then referred me to his knowledgeable Physical Therapy staff. After only 3 visits I am happy to say I am pain free. I know i can continue with what I have learned and stay pain Free. Thanks Dr Frye and the entire staff!Heidy E.

I was here to complete an educational rotation through Washburn University. This has been one of the greatest experiences I've had. The staff was helpful, kind and friendly. The staff were very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had. The concern was always about the patient and the treatment protocol varied according to the individuals needs. One of the great aspects of this clinic is that there are multiple disciplines within one building from physicians to chiropractors to physical therapists. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend Center for Manual Medicine to everyone!!

"I went to multiple doctors and had many test to determine the cause of my constant severe and debilitating head and neck pain along with dizziness. None of the doctors were able to help me until I went to the Center for mental medicine and received physical therapy from Matt Elniff PT,MPT, FAAOMPT. He provided a comprehensive treatment plan to strengthen engage muscles, relieve tension, and align the skeletal system. His expert treatment has provided me with pain-free days and I enjoy living life to the fullest again!"Robin C.

Testimonial: "I have been a patient at Center for Manual Medicine since 2007. My experience in this office has always been positive from the moment I entered the door. The staff is always pleasant, professional and thorough in any task they perform. I see Dr. Penn for chiropractic services and he is very gentle in his treatment, as well as direct in teaching me my role is caring for myself with stretching and exercise. Center for Manual Medicine has a team of physical therapists who also have shown me various stretching and exercises to alleviate discomforts as well as strengthen those weak areas in the body that are easy to overlook. I highly recommend this wonderful group to anyone in need of chiropractic care."

Another great Testimonial at the CTRMM! "I came in for shoulder pain. Tracie took care of me most of the time. The entire experience was positive. Exercises were provided with increased difficulty. If an exercise was painful, Tracie backed off and reintroduced the exercise later. She was very patient and demonstrated how to do each exercise. The pictures and printouts were helpful also. It took only 8 sessions to see marked improvement. I now have nearly normal range of motion and am basically pain free. I am more confident and can do YOGA again, which I havent been able to for two years! The entire staff was friendly." - Deena R.

Another great patient result at the CTRMM! Office staff is very pleasant, polite, and positive. Matt is by far the best Physical Therapist I have ever had. I have been using Physical Therapy on and off since 1994 when I began with Dr. Frye. Dr. Frye has also been very helpful in treating my pain. The Center For Manual Medicine is a good place to come for Physical Therapy!" - Jim S.
