The theater hosts a variety of professional and community productions, as well as large-scale meetings, social gatherings, business events, film screenings and seminars. It also has a projection screen and multipurpose audiovisual equipment with cable television linkages to other areas of the center. In addition, it has adjustable acoustical curtains that enhance the quality of spoken and musical sound. With a seating capacity of more than 500 people, James R. Armstrong Theatre maintains a location in Torrance, Calif.
