Dr. Alan K. Mauser is a Foot & Ankle Surgeon serving the Louisville area for more than 33 years.He has been at his Bardstown Road location for the past 28 years. He also sees patients at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoons. Dr. Mauser is experienced in arthritis of the foot and ankle, diabetic foot care, ingrown toe nails, chronic heel pain and Foot & Ankle Injuries/fractures. Dr. Mauser has raised four children as a custodial parent. His oldest son is a practicing orthopedic surgeon in Vermont. His daughter is an accomplished artist who currently is co founder of a community art center in the Smoketown neighborhood in Louisville. His middle son is an accomplished and published photographer residing in Louisville. His youngest son is in medical school studying to be a pediatrician. Dr. Mauser enjoys his spare time exercising, boxing and following U of L sports. He travels when he can and always enjoys seeing new and exciting places and meeting new and interesting people. Dr. Mauser is an attending podiatrist/surgeon with the Kentucky Podiatric Residency program affiliated with Norton Audubon Hospital, Louisville Kentucky. He is a professional member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American and Kentucky Podiatric Medical Associations.

Great experience

Dr. Mauser is calm and efficient, and inspires confidence. he explained my issues clearly and provided useful advice to help me track my symptoms, and described what additional measures might be helpful if the issue doesn't resolve. i feel reassured that I'm doing the right things and we will see how it goes.

Painless and yes, actually fun

Dr. Mauser and Mara were fantastic. I had a very sore toe, and I didn't feel anything...not the shot, not the procedure and just wow. I should have came sooner.

Dr. Mauser went above and beyond expectation. We were from out of town and he made time to see us five times in two and a half weeks. He remained accessible by phone and text. We sent photos via text after hours and he responded immediately. Highly recommend!

excellent care and great staff

Great service, great staff

I've been going to Dr. Mauser for over 20 years. From the first day to this day the doctor has always been personable and professional. I've always joked that my feet are in good hands.
